Great memory!
Occasionally I get to do special events and this one was especially fun at the Museum of Natural History in Pacific Grove, CA. Patrick Golden and I pose with the incomparable photographer, Molly Nance.
I made this Marie Antoinette-style ball gown out of brown paper used for shipping guitars. The bustier top was refashioned for this event, but the gown and wrap first appeared in The Big Sur Fashion Show.
Also from The Big Sur Fashion Show, this duct tape kilt actually appeared in two shows.
I was so happy to be glamorous in what amounted to be a paper bag.
The Big Sur Fashion Show is a wildly creative upcycling event in Big Sur, CA that raises money to support great causes and organizations in that secluded area of the Central California Coast.
